Synergy Fashion Show

About this project:

The Synergy Fashion Group is an RSO committed to promoting creativity and individuality through personal expression. We aim to accomplish this by providing outlets for personal expression to students who are passionate about design, fashion and the arts. We hold several meetings each month where we provide students with fashion resources and plan for our annual spring fashion show. 

The Synergy Fashion Show is an annual, student‐run spring fashion show which showcases student designs. The show has two parts: 

1. General Category, to which Sophomore, Junior, and Senior Apparel Design majors can submit garments they have constructed in class or any student of any major can submit a design.

2. Senior Collections, which showcases the Senior Apparel Design majors’ capstone collections. 

The garments in each category are evaluated by a panel of guest judges who are well‐established in the fashion industry. In the past, the show has attracted an audience of approximately 500 people. The Synergy Fashion Group rents a venue and a stage/runway, hires a DJ and sound/lighting crew, as well as hires professional models. 

This event builds upon fashion students' education by providing them with an opportunity to showcase their hard work and learn what it is like to put on such a large scale event. In addition, fashion industry professionals are invited to judge and attend the show, providing students with many opportunities to network and get feedback on their work.

Your gift to the Synergy Fashion Show and provides students an opportunity to showcase their hard work and challenge themselves as designers. The show also introduces audience members to a unique form of design expression where they can think critically about art that is both functional and aesthetic while broadening their perspectives on the design industry as a whole.
