Join Africana Studies in honoring the life and legacy of Dr. James E. Newton, emeritus professor and co-founder of the Black American Studies program (now Africana Studies). The James E. Newton Scholarship Fund provides tuition support for outstanding majors in Africana Studies. The James E. Newton Community Engaged Learning Fund provides support for community activities, internships, and professional development for students and faculty members of the University of Delaware, Department of Africana Studies.
