About this Project
This winter, a group of 14 UD education majors will be traveling to Barbados to study how to learn about and embrace students’ cultures and diverse identities in middle and high school classrooms. As part of their coursework, they will be assisting Barbados teachers in local schools, helping teach lessons and working independently with students.
To express our gratitude to the teachers and leaders in our host schools for opening their doors to us and providing this life-changing opportunity for the UD students, we want to honor them with gifts of items they can use in their buildings. In keeping with a long, proud tradition of UD’s Study Abroad in Barbados program, we will first spend time in the schools and learn from the teachers and students what their needs are in order to determine what the specific school donation items will be.
Donor Impact: How your support makes a difference!
